He's Eleven Months Old
Anyone else as surprised by that as we are?!
Today felt like it was a special gift to us because not only was Daniel turning eleven months old but it was incredibly beautiful outside. We were even visited by some of our great friends and family as well. It was just an amazing reminder of how blessed we truly are.
Daniel has been all over the place this month - well, that is somewhat of an understatement. He has made his way into some pretty outstanding predicaments, and it has been hilarious watching him discover new things (and places) to get himself into. You will not believe how he has grown!
In his 11th month:
He took his first trip to the Rainforest Cafe; see here.
We found out that he really enjoyed watching the fish.
We decided it was time to start, "Operation Sippy Cup."
It worked on the first day...
Daniel has been bottle-free since March 1!
We also started him on whole milk. 1-2 oz per cup.
He was drinking 6-8 oz of milk 3 times a day.
He would drink 1-2 cups of juice & water each day.
He caught a yucky virus along with an ear infection.
That messed up his sleeping schedule.
Now, he's back to sleeping anywhere from 8-11 hrs.
He takes two naps a day.
Sometimes they're 30 minutes or 2 hours.
He weighed around 23-24 lbs.
He wore size 12 and 12-18 month clothes.
He started WALKING on March 4; see here.
He got his 4th tooth. On top next to the front one.
He's still missing his 2nd front top tooth! Weird.
So, he started on "table foods."
He really liked yogurt, applesauce, peas,
and mashed potatoes.
He really did not like carrots or blueberries.
His "system" really did not like black eyed peas.
Thanks to Daddy for trying those out on him!
YUCK.
He began climbing... on everything. into everything.
He liked flipping boxes over and standing on them.
He liked pulling out the tv stand drawer
and standing/sitting in it.
He learned to turn on/off the television.
He continued to find his way into the shower.
While in the bathroom, he'd play in the toilet
and unroll the toilet paper.
He always crawled underneath his musical table...
and got stuck.
He loved other kids.
However, he was a
He was a hitter, biter, and hugger. Nice combination!
He chewed on toes, clothes, and everything in sight.
He started pointing toward things he wanted.
He loved getting to go consignment sale-ing.
He especially enjoyed his consignment inflatables;
one was filled with balls and the other a punching bag.
He loved "flying" when Daddy threw him up in the air.
He began shaking his head, "No."
He didn't sleep well when away from home.
He learned to "throw" a ball.
He'd roll it to you if and only if...
you sat in the floor with him and rolled it back.
He took his first ride down the slide with his Daddy.
He loved, loved, loved his Daddy...
He followed him into his office, in the kitchen, etc.
He would cry when Daddy left each day.
11th Month in Pictures:
Sitting in the tv stand drawer, watching "Sesame Street"
Notice how he's flipped over the bin and is standing on it
Rolling the ball to Daddy
In his inflatable school bus with WILD HAIR
A "punching bag" lion that Daniel got as an early birthday gift...
You'll see it again!
Meeting baby Gavin for the first time
Trying to get away from Daddy
Flying high
Yes, it scares Mommy to death...
But, Daniel loves it!
First slide ride with Daddy
Have I mentioned that Daniel loves his Daddy?!

Think Again, Daniel's Turning 10 (Months Old)
Breaking down the weeks of Daniel's life is getting incredibly impossible... Maybe it's because I'm keeping up with the "weeks" of two babies now. If you didn't already know it, Daniel's expecting a brother, and his Mommy is learning to get the hang of being organized while over 6 months pregnant and chasing after a 10 month old. So, with that in mind, I'm going to give you a run down of the big events that occurred in Daniel's tenth month (instead of the "usual" week to week)!
In his 10th month:
He weighed 20 lbs and 14 oz.
He was 29 and a half inches long.
He wore size 4 diapers, 12-18 month clothes, and a 4 1/2 in shoes!
His Mommy turned 27!
He celebrated by having his Mimi and Aunt Jessica stay over.
He loved wearing his parents' Avatar 3D glasses.
He visited his buddies: Pierce and the twins, Connor and Clayton.
He tried his very first Oreo and loved it.
He "rode" on the elliptical machine with his Daddy.
He witnessed his first REALLY BIG snow: over 4 inches!
His Daddy built a family of Vanderbilt/Kentucky basketball-playing snowmen.
He loved playing in the snow with Daddy!
He became a huge fan of Gerber biter biscuits!
They are a MESS!
He got his third tooth! It's on the top!
He had his first church service at home due to the snow.
He wore his pajamas to the service...
And ate the whole time at his high chair.
He liked eating the snow once it melted a little.
He learned to climb on top of things...
Notice how tall he is all thanks to his toy train!
His Grandpa taught him how to pull a rubberband and "pop" someone.
Daniel would just LAUGH and LAUGH!
His parents bought him a jumperoo, and it has been fantastic!
We found the one thing that will make him sit still... The Polar Express movie!
He got MORE snow and tried snow cream!
He got a monkey balloon from Daddy on Valentine's Day!
He got tangled up in Mommy's balloons.
Here's Daniel with Mommy on Valentine's Day:
Here is his growing family on Valentine's;
Notice "Brother" is really starting to make his appearance:
His family got him books, movies, and lots of Elmo goodies!
He gave kisses all the time...
That is, with his mouth open wide and slobbering.
He stood and stood and stood...
He took LOTS of first steps, but never actually walked.
He went to his friend Greyson's 2nd birthday party!
He FINALLY started sleeping through the night this month...
He sleeps from 8 p.m. until 6:30-7:00 a.m. EVERY NIGHT!
He even takes two naps a day!
He also helped his Mommy shop for his 1st birthday party!
He also helped his Mommy shop for his 1st birthday party!
He spent a lot of time in his pjs and chewing on Mommy's necklaces.
He began trying table foods: mashed potatoes, pasta, bread, mac and cheese, etc.
He tried the crust of some Cici's pizza and ATE IT UP.

Feeling Fine at Nine (Months Old)
Daniel turned a whopping 9 months old today, and WOW, what a month it has been!
In his 34th week:
He found his way into Mom and Dad's shower! Often...
He visited the Opryland Hotel with his family to see the lights.
He saw his very first nativity scene there.
He had Christmas Eve with his Mom and Dad.
They gave him 3 gifts... just like Jesus received.
His Daddy read him the Christmas Story from Luke.
He got his red GT walker from Grandpa and loved it!
His Mimi gave him a talking Elmo and an Elmo movie...
He really liked Elmo!
He started pushing his lion walk n' ride while on his knees...
In his 35th week:
He visited West TN to have Christmas with family.
His Mema got him a stick horse, and he wasn't sure about it.
He let his cousin, Landon, feed him a bottle.
Mostly, he wanted to hold them all by himself!
He met up with his family on his Nana's side of the family.
He really entertained all of the girls!
He went to a New Year's gathering with his buddies, the Clark and Harris families.
He stayed up to watch the ball drop on New Year's Eve!
He cut his second tooth!
He enjoyed playing with plastic bottles.
In his 36th week:
His two teeth were all the rave!
He got a Costa Rica hat from his friend Thomas.
He loved riding Daddy's shoulders...
And for Daddy to toss him up into the air.
He saw his first snow and loved playing in it.
His friend Pierce came to visit...
Daniel enjoyed climbing on him.
He went to Izzy's 1st birthday party and ate cake!
He loved playing at Mommy's feet while she painted.
He got lots of visits from Pop and Mimi!
He liked playing with Pop and reading with Mimi.
In his 37th week:
He found out he'd be having a baby brother!
Then, his Mommy got the stomach bug...
SO, he spent lots of time with Daddy, Grandpa, Mimi, and Aunt Jessica.
When she was better, she got sick again in her kidney and landed in the hospital.
He hoped she'd be home soon and she was!
He began crawling over and under everything!
He started snorting and smiling before and after each bite.
He loved eating saltine crackers.
His favorite toys were Legos and his TN Vols ball hat.
He stuck out his tongue while watching television.
It became impossible to change his diaper...
He'd either crawl away halfway through,
Or he'd kick and fuss until it was over.
He stood up on his own!
He started Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child.
Except it isn't working yet...
He shopped for something to help him fall asleep.
We cannot believe he's already this big, but he's such an incredible blessing!
