Ten Months Too Soon

In His 10th Month, Elias:

Weighed 23 lbs.
Wore size 5 diapers.
Wore size 18 month clothes.
Eczema was still a problem.
Crawled and cruised everywhere.
Pulled himself up constantly.
Was beginning to stand on his own.
Slept through the night most nights (6 hours).
Loved bath time!
Enjoyed visits from Pop and Grandpa.
Said ma-ma, da-da, and AH!
Had four teeth (top two teeth came in).
Started becoming more of a Daddy's boy.
However, always wanted his Momma.
Had a swallow study done at Vanderbilt on March 4.
He does aspirate when he drinks,
meaning liquids go into his lungs.
He has a hypersensitivity to texture and taste.
Was also seen by a feeding therapist on March 7,
because he was not eating anything.
There, he made a mess and was introduced to foods.
Since seeing the therapist, Elias has eaten:

  • Gerber puffs
  • Oatmeal from a spoon
  • Diced pears
  • Graham crackers
  • Chick fil A nuggets!
  • Saltine crackers
  • Vegetable straws
  • Corn flakes
Dislikes sweet tastes - fruits, popsicles, etc.
Likes foods he can hold and feed himself.
Sat during his first church service with Momma.
Went to the hospital to meet Lily Grace!
Took two naps a day - 10:30 and 2:30.
Was always smiling and laughing.
Made lots of messes, knocked over bowls, glasses, etc.

Other 10 Month Highlights:

Pulling up in the bathtub,
looking super big!
Side note:  his eczema is really bad.

Do you see some pearly whites?!

All three great grand boys with Pop.

Look who loves his Pop!

Eating graham crackers with Daddy
the night before his feeding therapy.
First time he's ever seemed interested in eating.

Such a happy baby!

Showing a smile while eating his veggie straws!
