Daniel's 39th - 42nd Months

I've gotten WAY behind on posting Daniel's monthly updates, so I'll combine and explain how BIG our firstborn is getting!

In his 39th-42nd Months, Daniel:
Weighed 37 lbs.
Wore size 3T and 4T clothes.
Wore size 10.5 wide in shoes.
Didn't need diapers!
COMPLETELY potty trained...
     except when he slept.
Loved being outside.
Rode on his tractor A LOT.
Enjoyed driving or walking down to Mrs. Debbie's house.
Liked to pretend.
Enjoyed having Mrs. Jennifer over!
Loved popsicles and pizza.
Liked being naked.
Was super opinionated.
Was very helpful.
Took a special liking to Elias.
Was incredibly creative.
Liked everything to be in a line.
Celebrated Aunt Kim's 30th Birthday!
Loved going to church.
Liked taking pictures.
Distracted Mommy while she voted.
Celebrated Levi's birthday with Captain.
Did not like being alone.
Fought taking naps.
Started Mother's Day Out.
Got a new teacher, Mrs. Ann.
Loved having his friend, Reid, in his class.
Had fun at Seth's train party!
Loved swimming in their pool!
Mostly he liked the water guns!
Was super excited to get a Thomas lunchbox.
Always wanted to hold Elias.
Wanted to snuggle up in bed with us in the mornings.
Was SHOCKED when Daddy came home
    with his head shaved for Addy!
Learned how to climb ON TOP
     of the swingset.  I kid you not.
Really liked to wrestle.
Loved digging up dirt, mud, and worms.
Celebrated Mimi's birthday at Red Robin!
Started learning scriptures and
     using a wisdom/discipline chart.
Loved trains, building tents, and dressing up.
Also liked using items to build forts.
Met Daniel at the post office.
Daniel gave Daniel a USPS name tag.
Did NOT like to share.
Became clingy when Mom dropped him off
     at Mother's Day Out.
Started Tamiflu to avoid Daddy's flu.
Stayed at Mimi's while Daddy was sick.
Loved water fountains.
Had fun at the family reunion.
Really liked the tee ball.
Was always picking Elias up...
     scaring Mommy to death!
Could make ANYONE crack up!
Especially Elias and Mommy.
Was super strong-willed.
Liked Mimi's scarecrow and Pumpkin houses.
Had an AWESOME memory.
Could explain events in detail.
Went to the circus.
Whined the first half of it.
Was in the bathroom for 1/4 of it.
Enjoyed the rest of it.

Five.Months.Old

Seriously?  Did I just type that?!

In his 5th Month, Elias:
Weighed 21 lbs, 7 oz.
Wore size 12 month clothes.
Wore size 3 diapers -
     but needed to move to size 4.
Rolled all of the time.
Drooled all of the time.
Started making the best sounds.
Began baby food.
Mommy is making it herself.
Started on rice cereal...  hated it.
Moved to bananas...  loved them.
Tried squash...  not a fan.
Spends a lot of time on his belly.
Loves watching everything that's happening.
Fusses when he's hungry, sleepy, or not getting attention.
Takes cat naps...  20 minute ones about 3 times a day.
Sleeps ALL night.  Like 8-10 hours.
Still breastfed.  5 oz 4-5 times a day.
Likes sitting up.
Does pretty well at it.
Found his feet and fingers.
Isn't a huge fan of the exersaucer.
Is too big for our infant car seat.
     too big means he's exceeding the weight limit.
Got a new one (from Korbin)
     as an early Christmas gift from Mimi.
Went on Tamiflu
     because Daddy and Mommy got the flu.
Spent a few days at Mimi's to avoid the flu.
Sleeps in his car seat.
Had bronchialitis.
Got breathing treatments every few hours.
Still wheezes from tracheomalacia...
     but not NEARLY as often.
Loves to chew on his hands.
Yellow is his favorite color.
He goes for anything yellow.
Really likes Samuel's Sesame Street school bus.
Loves his MOMMY!
Went to his first family reunion.

Rolled from his back to his belly 

at the beginning of his 5th month.

Loved playing with people's faces...

especially with Daddy.

Showing his true feelings 

about rice cereal.

After a nice meal of bananas...  :)

Making friends with himself.

Loved playing with his brothers' toys.

Especially anything that has yellow on it.

At the end of his 5th month, 

he spent all of his time on his belly...

looking around and "flying."

Samuel's 26th - 28th Months

I know I'm slacking when it comes to posting monthly updates, but I've learned that keeping up with three little ones' monthly updates is actually harder than it seems!

In Samuel's 26th, 27th, and 28th Months, He:
Wore size 4 diapers.
Wore size 18 month clothes.
Wore size 6-6.5 extra wide in shoes.
Weighed 29 lbs.
Had no interest in potty training.
However, he HATED dirty diapers!
Was becoming a bit rough with Elias.
Was still very shy.
Always very timid and scared.
Needed to warm up to every situation.
Threw lots of temper tantrums.
Disliked having his nose wiped.
Loved to sing and pretend "church."
Started Mother's Day Out for the 2nd year!
Loved his teacher, Mrs. Rochelle.
He says she is his best friend!  :)
Carried his lunchbox with him all day at MDO.
Always wanted to walk instead of riding in stroller.
Was very particular.
Was meticulous about his clothes, shoes, and coloring.
Was very "routine."
Had a huge vocabulary.
Knew his colors.
Confused red and green.
Counted from 1-11.
Knew his ABCs.
Loved to eat.
Woke every night around 2 a.m.

26th Month - July 2012:

Though Samuel is a year and half older, 

he and Korbin looked like twins

in matching pajamas!

Samuel got "hooked" on the "crazy girls."

That's the name they came up with 

for Kam and Kenz.

Samuel's personality really came to life!

He loved popsicles and visits with Mrs. Jennifer.

Carefully coloring his "Get Well Soon" card to Mary

Loved wearing other people's shoes

Visited his family in West TN

for his Aunt Kim's 30th Birthday!

Samuel loved being at home

with his brothers more than anything!

27th Month - August 2012:

Samuel helped Mom vote.

Got his sticker to prove it!

Chips were his favorite thing

for about two weeks.

He loved celebrating birthdays.

Especially Levi's since he got 

a balloon to take home.

He.would.not.let.go.

Samuel took the.best.naps.ever.

Even when big brother decides 

to scoot himself in...

Became a little comedian.

"Underwear on my head, Mommy.

NOT on my booty."

Celebrated Seth's birthday.

Loved the Cozy Coupe.

Samuel tried the tricycle for the first time.

He didn't actually move it,

but instead of being scared of it,

he tried it.

HUGE steps here.

Loved to wrestle with his brother.

Hated not being big enough to wrestle.

So, he didn't wrestle.

He always bit.

Celebrated Mimi's birthday with his favorite foods:

Hamburgers and french fries!

"I seeeee you.  Look at me, Lias."

Was quite the follower.

Scared to death of bugs.

BUT

found him digging up worms with Daniel.

Give this boy a ball and he's thrilled!
